Would anybody know a good reference for the behaviour of the Sachs optical scalars of the null-geodesic generators of a light cone near the vertex (in an arbitrary curved spacetime of course, because in the flat case rho = 1/r and sigma=0 is known, see for example Spinors and spacetime Vol 1.)?
