With tori showing up so often in astrophysics and cosmology, has an exact exterior metric for a rapidly rotating (but non-black hole) torus (with it say rotating in the x-y plane, with z axix of rotation)ever been obtained? It appears to fall into the axisymmetric group where the name Ernst frequently emerges, but I am unable to nail down whether this particular spinning object has an exact solution to Einstein's equation. Any help is welcomed...JPoXpress
