Will my nelumbo nucifera tubers positively rot if my soil is miracle grow potting soil on the bottom and sand on top to keep clean. They are growing wonderfully and I'm so worried that because I did not use loam at time I planted the tubers will rot. I'm fairly new at this and made this mistake before I knew better. I realise sand has zero nutrients and I supplement for that. I'm just worried the tubers will rot because of the soll. Does any one know what I should do. The plants are well established now and there is about 30 plants. I would hate for them to die! Any advice on what I should do?
