Why does Buxus that has flower buds not leaf up from that Branch. It seems that the buxus plants that do not develop seeds grow well and others but the ones that develop flowers and seeds do not have new growth

I have been growing box plants for many years but none have yet flowered i didnt know they did.after last winters severe frost i found what i can only describe as little nodules wich i thought was frost damaged growth.is it possible to send me a pic of a flower and seed.thanks sue ps this the first time i have used a forum and am only to willing to share my knowledge amongst fellow enthusiasts
