When are we going to do something to make downtown Whitby a great place to visit. I live in Whitby and when I walk downtown, I always see another store going out of business or has already shut its doors. I notice that the only place that is doing good business is the bars. There are people there in the middle of the afternoon sitting outside and drinking. I have nothing against people drinking
that is their business how they spend there time. But the rest of Downtown Whitby looks so shabby and we need to have someone on the council willing to have a vision to make our town look more like a Port Perry. This would not cost that much to do, and in return we would attract more business to our area.
The surrounding area of downtown is very beautiful and the people keep their homes lovely. What do you think?
