Iris pseudacorus

When I moved about a decade ago, I discovered what appeared to be an iris pseudacorus in our front yard. There were many other hard to find plants in this yard, but this iris was quite something! Although these irises are usually about 1-1.5 m tall, this one (even though growing one foot from the base of an ancient arbutus tree, in an extremely dry, neglected area of the yard raised quite high above any damp areas) suprised me; year after year it grew to around 5-6 ft tall, with very elongated, slender, dainty and almost iridescent pale yellow/white petals on the flowers....Always thought it to be an iris pseudacorus, but maybe not- when i look at ones in other people's garden, they do not look even remotely similar. Also, when I moved from the coast, I dug it up and brought it with me to the okanogan, but it has not bloomed since. Any ideas other than more peat and more water?
