What would cause a schoolhouse regulator to keep pretty accurate time from :01 to :30 but lose time rapidly from :31 to :00 on the 'uphill' movement of the minute hand. ??
It sounds like my tics are evenly spaced.
History: It was keeping time accurately before the time change when we set the clocks back, so I wound the hands (manually manipulating the minute hand) around the clock for 11 hrs.
Now it has the above issue. I've cautiously pushed the hands against the face to re-set them in, in case they become loose.. and it still has problem. So then I cautiously pulled the minute hand out from the face so as to loosen it, in case it was binding on the 'uphill'. ???
Help?
