What unit were the soldiers part of the 1-503rd attached to between 1961-1963 while they were in Okinawa. My dad was there during that time and I have found his shields for Strike Hold and The Rock. Instead of getting sent to Germany when he got out of jump school he went straight to Okinawa. I believe that was 1960 or 1961.
