What size orifice should I use on a leak down tester for testing a 520cc (31.9 cu in)twin cylinder outboard motor.
All the articles I can find say .040 inch but this is for engines up to 1000 cu in so I would assume this is too large for the engine I wish to test. Any leak in an engine of only 31.9 cu in I would think would result in virtually no pressure drop across an orifice this big. Does any one have any thoughts or information on this.
