Due to the fact that syntrifical force is at work (due to the fast sinning front wheel), that seems to be the culprit causing the wobble. However the less rake front ends (angle the front forks are at "relative to its frame") of the "sport/race" GP bikes making these bikes feel quicker and sharper steering, Its a double edged sword with less load in the straits than when cornering a turn death wobble is more likely to occur at the point the bike begins its weight shift (rider is the controller of the shift) as it enters the turn.
Remember in science class when this concept was first shown to you with the spinning bicycle wheel spinning on a shaft and mr.teacher tells you to hold the ends of the shaft Teach then spins the wheel telling student to change angle of spinning wheel and student cannot due to what seems to be some invisible force. Now thats half of the answer Newtons 3rd law of motion i think might be 1st law anyhow it states for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction thats why when wobble starts it is so hard to regain control magnifying with every swing of the handlebars! Hope that helps you out on your understanding, but things like tire pressure and tire compound also have an effect on the situation of death wobble as well. but syntrifical force is main player (damn spell check doesn't find syntrifical)! Anyhow let me know if that helps you out.
