A process for producing a natural rubber for a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which comprises decreasing a molecular weight of an unmasticated natural rubber by the action of a peptizing agent while dissolving the unmasticated natural rubber in an organic solvent, and a natural rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a natural rubber having a weigh average molecular weight Mw of 700,000 or less obtained by the process. Dear Sam , thank you for taking the trouble to answer my question , but i know already the article you have mentioned , its a patent for making a pressure adhesive by using a peptizing agent on unmasticated rubber .
What i really need is the standard procedure of making a pressure adhesive using masticated natural rubber dissolved in an organic solvent with the addition of resin , zinc oxide , resin , lanolin , paraffin oil , and antioxidant . most importantly for me is : what is the highest temperature allowed during compounding ? .
All the best and regards .
