What can be mixed/added to isopropyl alcohol to make it dry (evaporate) even faster?

I'm suggesting. Acetone evaporates faster than isopropal alcohol. The two will form a stable mixture. Perhaps the mixture will evaporate faster than isopropal alcohol alone.

Is acetone safe? I'm not sure what your asking. Neither ispropal alcohol nor acetone are safe to drink. Both are flamable. Adding acetone should not only make the mixture evaporate more quickly but also increase its flamability. Small amounts of acetone can come into contact with intact skin without problems. Continous skin contact is not advisable and of course there are those who will not tolerate any contact without developing skin lesions. But such persons are rare and would have a skin condition. Acetone is a major constituent of nail polish remover and is sold in paint and hardware stores.

If you are trying to save whatever is left after the iso alcohol is gone... ;) no. NO! use heat below 150C and add vacuum. you can get a cheap vacuum pump that you can reclaim the evaporated iso with for around $200. make sure you get one that goes past 27in/hg. i have one but it only goes to that and you can definatly use more.
