We have replaced the rear door locking assembly on our 2004 Mercury Monterrey Mini Van because the original locking assembly was corroded. After replacing it at a considerable cost it is now corroded again and needs to be replaced. Why aren't these a recall item as the Ford and Mercury dealer who replaced our last rear door locking assembly noted that this was a recurring problem that happens quite often with this vehicle. This should be replaced free of charge from the Mercury Corporation.
