Does anyone have any history of this building

It was in existance in 1841 and a long distant relative lived there as did a lot of people.

I dont believe that Alfred had anything to do with this building as he was only 11years old...it may have something to do with his father.

The building was located in Chorlton upon Medlock and I believe is now part of the University.

Any help in its true position and history would be appreciated.
