My Father was always very proud when talking about the Wonder Mosque called Shehunde which was build by itself.
He used to boast about it and claiming that all the other Ngazijas when praying face their neighborhood where the Wonder Mosque is found.
When I asked him about the origin of his father and grandparents, he told me they come from Oman but he never made reference of their clan, tribe or thier home village.
Shiekh Fadhili bin Ali Mbangwa was prominent Shiekh in Zanzibar during his stay there. Unfortunately he was sent back to Ngazija by Seyyid Barghash after backing up the clan of Inya Mwatswa Pirusa Instead of Inya Fuambaa which was in his fervor.
When arrived in Ngazija he was a teacher for a while and then went to Nzuani (Anjuan) were he became a Mufti till his death in1302 AH (18885)
