Unlike all the kingdoms in Africa the Venda monarchy is constituted by three people or a trinity. These are the Khosi- who is the first among equal-; Ndumi- the second among equal and a traditional prime minister- and the Khadzi who represents the female population but also acts as a link between the ancestors and the people. She is the one who will eventually bless the three new incumbents when the firts among equal passes away.
