Hello,
I'm currently involved in the study of Jones " Studies in African Music " , and would like to know the exact way of producing the different notes/sounds for Sogo when it is played as the master drum with 2 bare hands.
Jones is not that specific when it comes to describe what the hands are doing technically speaking. On page 67 of volume 1 , no. 2 " When Sogo Is Master Drum " the notes are provided , but what about the different techniques to produce them ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Many thanks !
