I am reading "The Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson in which he makes reference to Harriet B Stowe and what was the inspiration for Uncle Toms Cabin. He mentions it originated from her coming out of a "trance" like dream where a slave was being severly mistreated. I have been unable to find any collaboration for this theory. Can anyone shed light on this?
