U.S. Senator Edward Everett is my 4x's great uncle. I have a sword here engraved with his name on it. On the sheath is 3 letters F C B with an emblem of Jesus under it carrying a cross. Any idea what this sword is from? Also long ago I heard he was a direct descendant of Henry the 8th. Is this true? My dads mother was an Everett and I heard when I was little they traced her lineage back to Scotland which makes sense cause Henry the 8th was the uncle of James the 1st of Scotland(?) Let me know if anyone can answer any of these questions.
