Twenty or so years ago I saw in a Scientic American a photo of a statue from a, then, recently discovered Aztec complex in Mexico City. The free standing statue was of two Aztec warriors facing each other, each with a hand placed on a "ball of grass", which was on a pedistal that stood between the two standing figures. I haven't been able to find these figures on the net nor have I been able to find the Scientific American. These figures, as I recall, were found a the top of a monument. They were not a relief but were free standing. Any assistance in confirming these figures would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
