Has anybody tried mating a Metropolitan engine to MGB (or A)
Standard transmission, - More gears,and a linkage lash up elimination would be very useful! Possibly Rootes group transmissions might work?? I have a couple of those laying around, and a Metro engine, -- I guess I should try and see if the bolt patterns line up!
I think I can live nicely with the shifter sticking up between dash & seat!.. Seems that I read somewhere - where somebody put in a 1500CC MG engine and dual strombergs to get away form the single carb "acceleration delay"!
