TILE murals are pictures in the face of tile or cut out of tile and or carved out of stone.

Ceramic Tile Murals have a picture painted on them or has a picture sealed within its glaze. Murals are also made by cutting pieces of ceramic tile up and arranging them to create a picture. A third type of ceramic tile mural is made by shaping clay into mural pieces and firing them in a kiln.

Stone tile murals are made in one of three ways. They are:
1. using cut up pieces of stone (mosaic)
2. carving an image into the surface of stone (relief carving)
3. Carving mural elements out of stone then assembling into
a 3D picture. (see makenatile.com)

Each type is collectively referred to as "Tile Mural"
