Three weeks ago while on holiday I visited a friends Doctor for a checkup.I have had a double bypass back in year 2000 and have been on a dosage of Pravastatin tablets 40mg (LIPOSTAT)and Ramipril tablets 2.5mg (PRILACE), plus one aspirin (100mg) per day.
As of now I am a healthy 68 year old male.
It was on the recomendation of this doctor that I change medication from the above to Crestor (ROSUVASTATIN) 10mg tablets and Coversyl Plus tablets 5+1.25mg (PERINDOPRIL+INDAPAMIDE) plus the one 100mg apsirin.

His case for the change being; A) Newer drugs have come on the market over the last 10 years and do the job (reducing cholestorol and blood pressure) for more efficiently than Pravastatin tablets.
His recomendation being Crestor and Coversyl.

I have been on this new medication for three weeks and aside from some slight dizziness usually around midday (and generally after meals), I feel fine.

I was wondering if you could throw some light on the new drugs I am currently taking and whether there are any further adverse effects ahead.
