A striga is similar to a strigoi in that it consumes the life force of humans, but not in the form of blood; the life force is extracted through the mouth. The life force of children is considered prime as it is strongest in them and they are easy prey. Striga have the ability to "stun" their prey to disable them while they feed. A single feeding can reduce a victim's life force such that they are weakened to the point of death.
