I believe the the rocket launcher platform would not be subjected to any recoil because the rocket is propelled independent of the launcher platform. However once the rocket leaves the tube launcher the powerful blast of the rocket motor will kick sh_t out of everything behind it including a 4536kg launcher platform. The spring would absorb the blast energy against the facing exposed launcher platform. I am pretty sure I got 95% right. However the high speed gases passing rearward through the tube from the rocket must have some drag effect against the inside wall of the tube pushing it rearward also. This would be nowhere near the recoil of chemical cannon because the rocket launcher has a completely open hole in the rear. What do you think?
