I would like to suggest that the chorus psallentium is in fact the compartment (containing the ambo)to the west of that so labelled on the Plan. I think that the man who wrote the descriptions was mistaken and misread the plan when he labelled the area containing the formulae as the chorus psallentium. The infirmary and novitiate chapels seem to support this suggestion.
