In the episode mercury-venus (season1,episode7), they state that the atmosphere greenhouse gas is the main cause of the heat.
It was included that the volcano's don't help either obviously but no mention about what we learn in school that the sun heats the ground and the ground heats the air, well if the sunshine is present on the surface for 8months at a time wouldn't that be a major contribution?

just curious since no referrance to that affect.
