The Spitfire VIII JF344 , 32 squadron, Northen Africa based, were shoot down at 15th February 1944, near village Baska Voda, Adriatic coast, those days Yugoslavia.
Nearby city is Makarska, where I live.
Does anybody knows the name of the pilot, his destiny, code letters of this specific plane, camouflage pattern etc?
There is one wing still laying at the sea bottom, 7 meters deep.
The intention is to pay tribute to a brave pilot by making a model of his plane. Also to try to find out any interesting story that is connected to this event.
Sincerely yours,
Srdjan Gojak
