After reading the article on the GM Quadrajet I now know why I called it a P.O.C. (piece of crap), I bought my first NEW Corvette in 1973, and being a dedicated drag racer I quickly discovered that the carb had to go, and after reading the cons tells the reasons. So since day 2 my vette had and still has a nice simple Holley and the P.O.C. is still wrapped in plastic wrap. One thing that gave me the totally negative opinion was that I had installed and became a semi-expert, the GM Rochester Fuel Injection system on all my previous Vettes. That was a simple, no electronics high quality product in my opinion and some generations made a cool sound when at idle.
