Can anyone supply information on the 18th century seaman's woolen frock or the French seaman's woolen frock? I need images/paintings/etchings or a period description of this garment.
I have seen it called a Guernsey Frock and a Jersey Frock, but it has also been mentioned that these started with the French seaman's woolen frock.
