Do you really think Fonterra will get full access to the US because of the TPPA? I don't primarily because of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act and because my learned friends in the Depts of the Interior, Trade and Commerce are advising Congress not to. In short, there's nothing in it for Fonterra. I warned MFAT and MAF that this would happen in 2001, given the need to change the Commerce Act to allow Global Dairy to exist. The reality is that if you want unfettered access to the US, Fonterra brands will need to be broken up to allow a true competition situation (at least externally) to exist. Monopolies/Oligarchies are bad for New Zealands and the Worlds economy. But I forgot, you're only interested in whats good for Fonterra.
