Shirley Mason, aka Sybil, was a prolific artist. I met her after the integration of her alters in 1965. She lived a quiet life in Lexington, Kentucky with her cats and poodles. She traveled extensively with her art shows until Dr. Wilbur, her therapist, required Shirley's full time help to deal with the after effects of a stroke.Shirley died in 1998 and I spoke with her for the last time the month before. She was at peace with her decision not to have any more treatment for her DID. To showcase Shirley's art, I have designed a calendar that features her art on each month's page.
