The seven sultans traveling from Persia, were lost in the sea for a time until they came to the Comoros. When the boat carrying seven sultans (princes) arrived in Comoro; the histories from my ancestors goes on to say that, they were greeted by Jinns. When those Jinns saw the destitute travelers, hanging out their dhows, by the bay sides of Comoro Islands, at that moment the jinns took the form of people, and went to help the travelers from their dhows (ships). The Jinns helped the travelers (sultans) to the land. They appeared as people, as living being as the travelers were. The place they landed was called Mbajini. The seven Sultans, when they felt better the morning after, they asked for a mosque, so that they can pray. There were no Muslims in the island; hence, there was no mosque. But, when the sultans wanted to pray in the morning, the mosque appeared. This mosque is said to be there today in this present century and is one of heritage places as recognize by (together with other five sites collectively proposed by) UNESCO World Heritage site:
