I am hoping you will be able to help me with some video editing. My niece is in college and needs to edit a video. A friend of hers said that she used the program Solveig Multimedia AVITrimmer. She downloaded the free version of the program, but every time she tries to use it it gives her an error message "Destination file has not been set (Invalid pointer hr=0x8004003". Would anybody on here have any idea what her problem might be, or could you recommend a free program {or fairly cheap} that would work. She has videotaped herself working and now she needs to edit it down to about a five or 10 minute video. She has a laptop computer with Windows vista on it. She used a Vivitar DVR870HD to shoot the video which she saved to her computer in .MP4 format then she converted it to .AVI format so she could open it with the above-mentioned program. I don't really know what other information you would need. I look forward to any recommendations you would have. Thank you in advance for your help.
