Conflict Theory: this theory states that society is divided between people who have advantage and those who dont. People who are socialised into accepting their positionsin society. Socialistation is seen as a tool of force and domination rather than a way of getting consensus of behaviour and school order Karl Marx called this a "false consensus" where people accept their poverty/disadvantage as "just the way it is". It is wealth that give people choice in life, and those who are less wealthy have less choice about their living situations.
