From the very first time I listened to "Frank's Place" / High Standards on XM, I was hooked. Having been born in 1935, just a couple of years earlier than Jonathon, I was priviledge to grow up in the era of the Great American Song Book. So you see my appreciation for the music of the era and its great artists who performed it is at the highest level. Jonathon's personal style of hosting Frank's Place added a warm and wonderful compliment to the music. When Jonathon spoke about an artist or composer, I knew he knew what he was talking about. This furthered the enjoyment of listening to Franks Place. Now....sadly all of this has vaporized into Siriusly Sinatra of which there is nothing to be"Serious about" Now hosted by what appears to be complete amateurs, the hosts(s)leave you with the impression that they have no idea at all what they're talking about. The new sound and presentation that surrounds Sirius' version of this classic American Music/Art channel is like listening to a kid who is auditioning for his first Radio Job in Balloonville somewhere. I may have just insulted Ballonville but I didn't mean to. Balloonville may have someone who has a lot more talent then what we're now hearing. Frankly (no pun intended)if it wasn't for Jonathon's Sunday Show on WNYC played on Sirius I would be looking elsewhere for entertainment. So much for the merging of two struggling Satellite services. You would think that the merger would have brought something better for the money. Now they want to charge me extra for listening to Howard Stern and Martha Stewart. Martha I might pay for but Howard can pay me! Even that wouldn't cause me to listen. Anybody out there with similar feelings. I'd like to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Still love you Jonathon...even if you're being buried by Corporate BS.

Yeah I've heard a lot of bad things about Sirius myself, that's why I don't buy it!

You resonated my disappointment perfectly. I joined S. Sinatra last week and was shocked to hear how awful the music sequencing is compared to when I subscribed to XM radio where every song had substance and I could tune in almost any hour and any day and hear something fresh and new. Now, I get Frank Sinatra Jr. and Johnny Hartman, and Ella. singing the same
songs as if they are programmed to repeat every four or five hours. I never had that experience when I tuned into XM radio. Yes, I only keep listening because of Jonathan. I'm on the West Coast and no one, not one station out here, even comes close to his radio art.
But for the rest of the programming, Nancy and her friends, no thanks. She does not understand how to get personal with her audience and she has no understanding of the G.A.S. as Jonathan does.
THe company need to hire that Buddy ? who programmed XM radio's high standards. He is in the same league as Jonathan. If they don't they will lose me and many of my friends who have subscribed. I listen to nothing else and soon will not be listening at all.
