Superconducting magnet

Scientists have been able to levitate frogs, grasshoppers, and now mice inside the middle of a superconducting magnet. As supercooled ceramic resists the penetration of a magnetic field, is it possible to create a ceramic shield on half the interior of the magnet and thus achieve a "push" or gravity toward one chosen side? If yes, and if the interior is large enough for a "hallway" could we thus have artificial gravity for spaceships?
