Rhodoleia henryi was recently introduced to cultivation in Japan. I bought a plant of this exciting member of the hamamelidaceae family to Switzerland where I will plant it in the mildest possible climate. It should do fine since it grows in SW Yunnan at an elevation of 2000-2450 m.
My question: does anybody have experience with Rhodoleia henryi? How much sun or shade does it tolerate? Is an acidic humus-rich medium fine? How susceptible is it to Armillaria?
