Researching my famly genealogy I found information saying the Knapp Cemetery which was on the Knapp Farm, was relocated on to the Military Installation. Is there any information or documents to back this up?

While searching for the graves of my greatgrandparents, I found that several small cemeteries were moved from the camp atterbury area to a 15 acre site west of US31 on county rd 700. the graves are very old and i have yet to find my great grandparents, buy i did find gravestones with the name Knapp. there are several websites with the history and lists of the graves. just type in Atterbury cemetery near edinburg Indiana and you will find them. the graves were actually moved off the military installation not onto it.

Hi Carol--i returned to the Atterbury Cemetery today and was able to locate my greatgreatgrandparents graves. I also saw 4 graves with the name of Knapp. I took pictures of them for you. If you can find a way for me to get them to you, I would be glad to do so. The names of John Knapp and Julia Knapp were easy to read. the other 2 were not. Julia Knapp's stone is lying flat on the ground, but John's stone is in very good condition considering it's age.
