Relating to Cilician Thebe-under-Placus, which is Andormache's home city--Achilles is said to have sacked it (BK I of the Iliad) and in the process killed Andromache's 7 brothers (Iliad, VI); also, he's supposed to have taken Chryseis captive(daughter of Chryse, priest of Apollo--Iliad, BK I)in his sack of Thebe-under-Placus. What was Chryseis doing there?--she's supposed to be from a city called Chrysa (Chryse)on the Adramyttium (Edremit) Gulf; and women didn't just run around visiting each other in those days.
Any ideas?
