It is received wisdom that one should not drink alcohol while taking MIRAPEX, a drug particularly effective in treating RLS. The simple question here is--WHY? Is it because the alcohol will somehow undermine or invalidate the efficacy of Mirapex? Or is it because alcohol may/will intensify the soporific effects of MIRAPEX, causing the user to fall asleep while driving, or operating dangerous machinery? These are two separate realities--the one medical, the other social. I'd be grateful for comments.
