Quite some time ago I acquired a book inscribed by Langston Hughes to someone named ' Curley '. It is clear from the nature of the inscription that they were quite close. The bookseller who sold the book originally maintained that 'Curley' was an attorney for Mr. Hughes - but he is not the attorney of record in representation of Hughes before the McCarthy witchhunt. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
