My name is Kristopher, and I own two '85 Pontiac 6000 STE's. How I got interested in the car, was I was selling Pontiac in 1983 & 1984. All of our STE models were already sold, so when I drove the customer in his new STE, I was the one sold on the car. Everyting was standard with only two options: sunroof and pigskin suede interior, which came with its own how to clean kit. The car has a electronic ride control that includes an inflator nozzle in the trunk, as well as a vinyl bag, that had certain equipment in it in case you were stranded. The stereo was the best offered by GM, the seats were manually adjustable six ways, plus recline, it was roomy, and was powered by a 140hp V-6. The mileage was decent, getting 26 mpg on the highway, though, going to Phoenix at 55mph, I acheived 31 mpg. In 11/07, I purchased my second 85 STE for $650.00, whereby I invested $1,500.00 into the car to make it look and run the way it did when new. So, that is my short story on my two STE's.
