This is all hypothetical, of course. If someone was clearing out his late grandfather's barn, and found a Type 99 in the box it was mailed home from Okinawa in 1945,and had survived 60 years in N.Texas weather, finish gone, sent as DEWAT but never registered, muzzle welded closed (funny, the welding material can be cut with a knife) firing pin ground off block (funny, 2nd block intact)... hypothetically, if the receiver were thrown in the lake, could the other parts be sold to a collector? I know the two mags in the canvas case could be, along with the stock and flash supressor. Advice? This is a fairy tale, of course.
