Does anyone have any idea how I can find out why a group of us were taken to the island and left for 30 days with no assignment, picked up sent immediately below deck on an LST that picked us up and kept below deck till we got away from the island on our way back to Oahu? This happened in 1963 while I was in the Marine Corps. We were never told why we were placed on the island for that time period, then spirited back to our base. I suspect that there was some type of test performed while we were there and we were exposed to chemicals or radiation.
