I am completely disgusted at the destruction of Newburgh New York. I see a few buildings are being restored but what happened here? As a kid growing up in the 1950's, my parent's had a summer home in Orange county and we frequented Newburgh for shopping and dining out. My Dad would go down to Water St. in the summer and have his business suites made. They had my coat made at Strouks(spelling?)it was a beautiful city, starting at the top of Broadway and going towards the Hudson river. I have great memories and trying to find pictures on the web of those old places. I would like to say, however, shame on the city Fathers and politians for letting this most historic city go to ruin. It will take an awful long time to restore it.

I totally agree with you. The looks of this once Beautiful, Historic City is now a huge dumpster. It's just plain horrible. I'm very sadden by the sights and behavior of the mayor and the citizens. We Need Major Help. FAST!!!
