NASA scientist Stefan Immler at Goddard SFC thinks Eta Carinae could explode in our life time, or even in the next few years. Also EU Space Agency, some astrophysicists based on observations suggest Eta Carinae has already gone Hypernova thousands of years ago and could reach the earth in as little as a year!
