My last name is Mirabella
All my life I was told it means Mira= To look or view Bella= beautiful
Recently my brother came back from Sicily and informed me I was incorrect and Mirabella mean only beautiful view hence Miramar and other such names use Mira as view
I believe, depending on the dioleque and where the origin of the name is from such as Mirabella from Italy Mirabella from Sicily or Mirabelle from France the name translated to English can mean To look beautiful to be viewed as beautiful or beautiful view.
