My grandson was placed on five year pretrial dtversion probation and was told that he had to leave the city where he lived. his mother took him to another county to reside, but he ended up on the street. I contacted his probation officer in London, Kentucky, and was told he could come back to live with me[grandmother] eight miles from Harlan, the city where he was not to reside in. But where I reside is rural and we don't have a probation office here, so therefore the London, Ky probation officer contacted the probation officer here in Harlan, Ky. the Harlan county probation officer contacted my grandson, and had him report to his office, up on arrival, there was a city policeman with a bench warrant to arrest him. both probation officer's and district attorney deny having him arrested, guess the circuit judge took it up on himself to press charges against him??doesn't the probation officer have that jurisdiction to violate an prolee?? my grandson did not violate his pretrial diversion probation, he complied with all the rules. his public defender is a prosecuter! she just became angry and said 'well now he has a bed to sleep in, and three mears per day. I am at a loss!! he just turned 19 years old, and has been on disability in the passed, can't take care of himself at this time and period. is this legal??? NEED ADVICE IN HARLAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY..WAS ARRESTED JULY 30, 2009 STILL INCARCERATED AT THIS DATE.
