My grandfather Thomas guy (Reg.No.18016) was killed in action on 25th may 1918, he was in the 5th battalion Yorkshire Regiment at the time of his death. Thomas Guy enlisted in the Yorkshire Regiment (7th Battalion-Yorks) in 1914 and went to France 0n 13th July 1915. In the absence of his service records is there any way I can discover when he may have transferred to the 5th battalion or any other battalions?
